The District Exhibition Dropoff

Highlandtown Artists! Join us for the second annual ha! open exhibition. Drop off your work to be exhibited in one of three venues, opening Oct. 1: CA’s Amalie Rothschild Gallery, Schiavone Fine Art, and Skyloft Studios. Up to 3 works accepted; must be ready to install and no more than 48 in. wide cumulatively. Juried prizes include gift certificates for art supplies from Nations Photo Lab ($50-$200) and Dick Blick ($100, $150, $200), plus all artists get a 10% discount coupon! 10am-4pm. Schiavone Fine Art, 244 S. Highland Ave. The ha! open exhibition is open to all artists living or working within the Highlandtown Arts District.

Dominique Zeltzman: Detritustrata

Schiavone Fine Art kicks off the season with installation artist and photographer, Dominique Zeltzman. The artist reminds us to celebrate what many of us dread: household tasks. Dominique's work shows us the beauty in our caring tasks - the value to our families and lives. In what's turning into a string of 100s we present a sample of this artist's 100 snapshots in addition to several installations that are sure to make you rethink domestic waste.

This event features the latest work by Baltimore’s vibrant media production collective, in collaboration with Wide Angle Youth Media, New Lens, andRootbranch Productions. Highlights include a sneak peak of Wide Angle’s highly anticipated MTA Stories, an intense and informative wild west cook-off, youths’ reflections on human rights, and a comedic but poignant tale of video game addiction. Highlandtown Art Cart Derby

Indianapolis has the Brick Yard, Daytona their 500, and now even the Inner Harbor has the Baltimore Grand Prix, but only Highlandtown has the Artcart Derby.
